Alles ist gut, was Mean Well ist. Entschuldigung, schlechtes Wortspiel.

Meistens, wenn man 3D-Druck betreibt, verbrauchen nur die Hot-Ends nennenswerte Energie. Das sind jeweils etwa 40 W und sie sind pulsweitenmoduliert (PWM), um eine konstante Temperatur aufrechtzuerhalten. Selbst dann zieht es die meiste Zeit nicht die maximale Hot-End-Leistung.

Aber das Druckbett. Diese prächtige, riesige, flache Platte aus Aluminium, Stahl und Heizspulen kann einem schwächeren Netzteil das Leben aussaugen. Nicht dem Mean Well. Es ist gut gemeint, eine saubere, konstante Leistung von bis zu 500 W zu liefern, um das Druckbett schnell zu erwärmen und während des gesamten Drucks konstant zu halten. Weniger ist inakzeptabel.

Es ist ein Biest, das für die Ewigkeit gebaut ist.
